Giuseppe Maria Cambini (Livorno, 13.II.1746 – Parigi, 29.XII.1825 ?). Secondo quanto attestato da Fétis Cambini nacque a Livorno nel 1746. Allievo nella città natale di un certo maestro Polli, studiò con Filippo Manfredi e nel 1763 venne inviato a Bologna, dove fino al 1766 pare abbia studiato sotto la guida di padre Martini. I Sei Quartetti concertanti di Giuseppe Maria Cambini dopo oltre due secoli sono qui integralmente ripubblicati in edizione critica moderna.
