Jiří Družecký (1745-1819), attivo col nome tedesco Georg Druschetzky, è un compositore praticamente sconosciuto eppure il RISM (Répertoire International des Sources Musicales), disponibile online, riporta ben 240 partiture di brani strumentali, in gran parte per insiemi di strumenti a fiato.…Tuttavia, le sue composizioni sono sempre ben scritte, piacevoli e caratterizzate da uno stile concertante che mette bene in evidenza gli strumenti che fungono da solista come avviene nel Concerto per oboe, timpani e orchestra che qui pubblichiamo.
Il “Concerto per il Oboa e Timpano a 2 violini, 2 Clar., 2 Fagotti, 2 Clarini, Viola e Basso ” è conservato in un manoscritto formato da parti staccate manoscritte custodite presso la Biblioteca Nazionale Széchényi di Budapest
