Antonio Torriani (Milano, 1829 - 1911) è stato fagottista e compositore italiano. Allievo del Regio Conservatorio di Milano, ammesso alla classe di fagotto il 5 novembre 1842 sotto la guida del maestro Antonio Cantù, Torriani termina la sua formazione il 27 agosto 1850. Per i notevoli progressi durante il periodo degli studi, diviene già primo fagotto in alcune opere rappresentate presso il R. Conservatorio…Il Capriccio è caratterizzato per entrambi gli strumenti da uno spiccato virtuosismo ed in particolare il fagotto è spesso spinto verso il suo registro acuto
