Anton Bernhard Fürstenau (Münster, 20 ottobre 1792-Dresda, 18 novembre 1852) fu il più importante flautista virtuoso del Romanticismo tedesco… La Rivalité è in re maggiore ed è formata da una Introduzione (Andante maestoso, C) e dalla Sicilienne “O fortune à ton caprice” (Allegro con spirito, 6/8) con 4 variazioni, presa dal finale del primo atto del Robert le diable di Meyerbeer.
Anton Bernhard Fürstenau (Münster, October 20, 1792-Dresden, November 18, 1852) was the most important virtuoso flutist of German Romanticism… La Rivalité is in D major and is made up of an Introduction (Andante Majestic, C) and the Sicilienne "O fortune à ton caprice" (Allegro con Spirito, 6/8) with 4 variations, taken from the finale of the first act of Robert le diable by Meyerbeer.
